I have always considered myself a creative. I was raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, surrounded by the Main Line and Chester County regions where I frequented museums with my family and gained an appreciation for culture and the arts. After receiving my B.A. in Anthropology, with a historical archaeology focus from West Chester University, I continued to study wedding and event planning at the New York Institute of Art & Design and then received certification in Event Design. Following a career in Venue Management, I realized that I was happiest bringing events to life and it inspired me to branch out on my own.
"Why archaeology and anthropology... and wedding planning"?
I have a deep appreciation for tradition, ceremony and detail. My job is to remind the client of the importance and significance of the day, to appreciate and savor every moment and to embrace the process. When I dig archaeologically and find an object, it is full of life - my imagination runs wild with theories about the people that once possessed these items and sometimes research allows us to find the real story. We aren't just planning an event, we're creating memories that will forever be a part of history.
There is a Greek word, meraki, which means to put your heart and soul into your work. This is the true foundation and philosophy of my practice.
When I am not digging for 18th century treasures or bustling wedding gowns, you can find me drinking copious amounts of tea and snuggled up with a good book.
